TVI
EVERY TUBE INSPECTED, QUALITY PERFECTED
TVI – Tube Vision Inspection is an automated quality control system designed for inspection of packed tubes inside boxes.
Using high-resolution cameras, it verifies tube presence, detects debris or damage, and checks packing patterns to ensure correct packaging results.
Integrated directly into packaging lines, TVI provides consistent inspection performance and dependable verification in modern production lines.
Reliable inspection
for consistent
product quality
Performance
- Inspection of every tube inside the box
- Detection of missing tubes, contamination, ovality and damage
- Packing pattern verification and tube counting
Flexibility
- In-line or standalone operation
- Two or three high-resolution camera configuration
- Recipe-based setup or automatic parameter import from packing machine
Usability
- Automatic inspection parameter loading
- Operator-friendly operation
- Low maintenance requirements
Key technical
data at a glance
Machine
- Inspection capacity: up to 300 tubes/min
- Inspection mode: Vision inspection of packed tubes in boxes
- Installation: In-line or standalone
- Camera configuration: 2 or 3 high-resolution cameras
Boxes
- Minimum size (L × W × H): 300 × 300 × 60 mm
- Maximum size (L × W × H): 630 × 630 × 250 mm
- Box orientation: Horizontal or vertical
Missing tube detection
Missing or incomplete membrane
Shoulder contamination
Side wall contamination
Ovality
Wrong tube / packing format
Missing or wrong color cap
Damaged tube
Verifies each tube position in the box and reports missing tubes
Detects damaged or incomplete membrane when the orifice diameter exceeds 4 mm
Detects contamination ≥ 0.15 mm for tubes < Ø30 mm and ≥ 0.20 mm for tubes > Ø30 mm
Detects contamination ≥ 0.25 mm for tubes < Ø30 mm and ≥ 0.30 mm for tubes > Ø30 mm
Detects tube ovality above 6–14% (adjustable threshold)
Detects incorrect tube arrangement or packing format in the box
Detects missing cap or incorrect cap color when visible through the orifice
Detects open-end damage and tube deformation (crushed tubes)
Important note:
To avoid false rejection of packed boxes containing defect-free tubes, the tubes should not be loosely positioned inside the box. A maximum gap of 3 mm between the tubes and the box sidewall is recommended. Final tolerance values can be confirmed during testing with the actual system and product.
